All the best debates are over social realities.

I dislike the fact that there are negative connotations associated with the word “arguing.” Every softer synonym used in polite conversation sounds pretentious.

Have you ever had argument result at a clear impasse? A simple statement is found that the other party and you disagree upon. You can’t understand how everyone can agree on the premises; but, diverge so wildly on a conclusion.

The reason is because your axioms are different. Your world views aren’t compatible. There is a conflicting belief. You have two choices: move on, or try to convert the heretic.

I’ve never been evangelical.
